Rising dramatically just 70km south of Marrakech, the High Atlas Mountains are among Africa's most spectacular ranges — a world of terraced Berber villages clinging to cliffsides, walnut and cherry orchards, cascading streams, and snow-capped peaks that pierce the clouds.
Our hiking experiences cover routes for all fitness levels. Beginners can explore the lush Ourika Valley or the Imlil village area, walking through traditional Berber communities and apple orchards with jaw-dropping views. Experienced hikers can tackle Jbel Toubkal — at 4,167m, the highest peak in North Africa — a two-day summit adventure starting from Imlil.
All hikes are led by certified Berber mountain guides who know every trail, every family who might offer tea, and every story carved into these ancient mountains. This is not just hiking — it's immersion in one of Morocco's most extraordinary cultural landscapes.
